VPA has set a new milestone in November 2024, achieving the highest-ever throughput of rice exports in bags. A remarkable volume of 185,560 MT was handled across 5 vessels, surpassing the previous calendar month record of 164,739 MT in October 2021 (handled by 3 vessels).

VPA has achieved a new milestone by loading 96,600 MT of iron ore pellets in a single day. This remarkable feat, accomplished for AMNS was carried out between 1430 hrs on 20th November and 1430 hrs on 21st November 2024 for the vessel MV GCL SABARMATI at Outer Berth 2 (OB-2).

On 19th November 2024, VPA in collaboration with terminal operators, conducted a business campaign in Bhimavaram to promote the utilization of Vizag Port’s container service facilities. Campaign focused on shrimp exports from Bhimavaram to key international markets, including the USA, China, and Japan. The initiative received an overwhelmingly positive response from shrimp exporters in the region, highlighting VPA’s role in boosting trade efficiency and connectivity.
