Port of Visakhapatnam is committed to provide prompt, efficient and safe services to ensure quick turn round of Sea, Rail and Road borne cargo by:

·         Implementing and continually improving the performance of Quality Management Systems, Environment and Occupational Health & Safety by eliminating hazards and reducing OH&S risks.

·         Complying with the applicable Statutory and Regulatory requirements.

·         Preventing – injury, occupational ill health and pollution.

·         Setting Quality, Environment and OH&S objectives.

·         Commitment to the protection to the environment including prevention of pollution and conservation of natural resources like Water, Fuel,  Energy etc.,.

·         To reduce carbon intensity and to develop an environment friendly ecosystem with participation of all Terminal Operators, Logistics Service Providers, etc. to protect ecology and environment in and around Port area.

·         Ensuring sustainability in Port operation and Development by adopting best practices and employing best available carbon neutral and environment friendly technologies for sustainability and meeting Environmental Performance Indicators as set by Harit Sagar Green Port Guidelines – 2023.

·         Addressing risk and opportunities.

·         Enhancing the customer satisfaction.

·         Ensuring the promotion of awareness among the workers and the interested parties on Quality, Environment, Occupational Health and Safety through consultation and participation.

·         Committed to promote sustainable and minimize environmental impact of Port operations and ensure Carbon neutral development with least disturbance to the surrounding aquatic and atmospheric environment.
